Fresno is full of some beautiful locations for photo shoot sessions, and as a Fresno photographer who has shot at many locations in the area, I’ve decided to create a list of my top favorite photo shoot locations in the area! 1- Millerton Lake – A Great Spring Location With Wildflowers!
Millerton Lake is a stunning location for your photo shoot, especially in the spring because of its beautiful wildflowers. I also love this location in the fall as well! Millerton lake offers breathtaking views of the hills that surround the lake which makes it the perfect location for a natural backdrop. In the fall, Millerton Lake is a great spot for capturing the changing colors of the leaves with the golden and orange colors of the foliage to give you such a pop of color in your photos!
2 – Lost Lake – A Perfect Location For a Photo Shoot in The Spring & Fall!
Lost Lake in Fresno is another perfect location for your photo shoot in both spring and fall time! The lake is surrounded by beautiful greenery in the spring which gives you the perfect natural backdrop for any photo shoot! The light is also great for taking pictures, and in the fall the warm colors really add such beauty to your photos! It’s a great spot for wedding portraits, maternity photos, family portraits, and really just about any session!
3 – Winton Park – A Fall and Spring Favorite!
Winton Park in Fresno county is the perfect spot for a fall or spring locations for a photo shoot in the Fresno area! It sits on 24 acres and has stunning views of rolling hills, open fields, and the lake. The trees in the area will be filled with beautiful fall leaves which gives you all the fall colors for your photos! The park also has a lot of trails that we can explore to get the most perfect shots!
4 – Cottonwood Park – A Colorful Fall Photo Shoot Location
Cottonwood Park is certainly another fall favorite photo shoot location in Fresno county! I really love this location in the fall time, as it’s beautiful with its changing fall colors and foliage during the fall season! If you’re looking for some fall family photos or a fall maternity session, this location is a great option! The photos below that are more green is the summer/spring season and the rest is all fall season. This location is great in the morning and afternoon!
5- Yosemite National Park – A Stunning Photo Shoot Location All Year Long!
You just can’t go wrong with a photo shoot in Yosemite National Park no matter what time of year you go! The park offers stunning landscapes that will give you the perfect backdrop for your photos! Whether that’s family portraits, maternity photos, or elopements! The waterfalls, mountains, and diverse scenery are certainly worth the trip!
6 – Sequoia National Park – Another Beautiful All-Year Location!
Sequoia National Park is another great photo shoot location all year round! It is SO BEAUTIFUL and full of so many different types of trees, including the massive giant Sequoia of course! The park is the perfect location if you’re looking for a beautiful natural backdrop with plenty of trails to roam and the best scenic views!
7 – Shaver Lake – The Perfect Summer & Winter Location With a Forest Vibe!
Shaver Lake is a perfect Fresno County locations for a photo shoot that’s great for both summer and winter! In the summer you’ll find beautiful wildflowers and the lake! In the winter it turns into a true winter wonderland which is perfect for winter family photos. Plus a little bit of snow-throwing!
8 – Blossom Trail – A Perfect Spring Photo Shoot Location!
If you’ve been dreaming of a photo shoot session location where you’ll be surrounded by beautiful almond blossoms, then the blossom trail is just the spot! This location only comes in the last week of February and the first week of March. So, if you’re wanting a blossom session, make sure to inquire ASAP, because these sessions go fast. 9 – Woodward Park’s Friendship Garden – Great All Year Long!
Woodward Park is a beautiful photo shoot location all year long but does get pretty busy! The Shinzen Friendship Garden is such a beautiful spot inside of Woodward Park. You do have to pay for entry, but it is well worth it in my opinion!
10 – Downtown Fresno – Perfect For an Industrial Styled Photo Shoot
Downtown Fresno is a great location for a photo shoot! It offers an industrial-styled backdrop with its old brick buildings, bustling city streets, and even beautiful graffiti art! The area has an urban vibe that is perfect for creating that edgy look if that’s what you’re into! Additionally, there is plenty of natural light in the downtown area making it perfect for a photo shoot!
11 – Blue Door Blooms – A Dreamy Flower Photoshoot Location
If you’re looking for a dreamy location for a photo shoot near Fresno with a TON of flowers, then this boutique flower farm known as Blue Door Blooms in Sanger, California is PERFECT! Michelle the owner has such a passion for flowers and wanted to share this with not only her community, but the local photography community as well. The best part of Blue Door blooms is that its private as well so you don’t have to worry about anyone else being their during your session when you rent it out. Michelle does lavender in May, and during the fall she does set ups with pumpkins, hay barrels, and more, along with the cutest back to school photoshoots!
