Four things to do after you get engaged!

Wedding planning goes so fast so I want you to start off your engagement right by knowing what the most important first steps are to having a successful wedding of your dreams

Enjoy the Moment

This time in your life goes by so fast, so it demands importance. So, enjoy the time that you get to call your significant other your “fiance”, before you start wedding planning. Take a week or two to let the news really sink in. Show off that ring and just BE engaged.

Create a Budget

Before you can move forward with any of your wedding plans, this is a discussion that has to be had. The answer to the budget question may determine so many factors you will have to consider for your wedding day (venue, guest list, length of engagement, vendor choices, wedding dress, etc).

Choose a Wedding Venue

This is a big one. Your wedding Venue is ground zero for a lot of your wedding decisions. Is it indoor or outdoor or both? How many people can it hold? Where is it located? How will weather affect this venue? This is just the start of things to consider. Now that you have your budget figured out, you can start looking for a place that has all of your needs and hopefully all of your wants. This is also when you decide on a wedding date!

Book your photographer

Photographers, along with other major wedding vendors (DJ, coordinators, videographers…ect) get booked up quickly. They can only take on one event per day, so it’s best to get your inquiries in as early on in your planning as possible. Looking early will give you time to explore portfolios and schedule meetings to help you find the best photographer fit for your day.

Below is Lexi and Austin’s wedding and it was an absolutely amazing day. They planned their wedding in Fresno California in two short months and it could not have turned out better!
