Choosing your engagement outfits for spring pictures is a very important aspect of planning your engagement session! Often times, your engagement photos are used when sending out wedding invitations, and you’ll likely have them forever. With that being said, making sure you and your future spouse are wearing the perfect engagement outfits is essential! For your spring engagement outfit planning, I have created this guide, because I know how difficult it can be!

Choosing Your Engagement Outfits for Spring Pictures

I always recommend couples scroll through Pinterest to get some inspiration for their engagement outfits! Additionally, this will give you an idea of what you want your engagement photos to look like! Above all, I want you to be comfortable in whatever you’re wearing. Do not wear something that you do not feel comfortable in for the sake of the photos. I can assure you that if you are not comfortable, it will show in your photos. I also recommend that your try your outfits on before the photoshoot in a well naturally lit place!

Do Both Casual & Dressy Engagement Outfits For Spring Pictures!

I love offering the opportunity for an outfit change halfway through the session. This gives you the opportunity to get a few different looks and feels with your session while maximizing our time together! Many couples opt for one dressier option and one casual option. Things I love for my clients to wear are flowy long dresses, textured sweaters, hats, sunglasses, accessories, and neutral colors for men.

Textures and patterns are a great choice as long as they complement each other. As far as textures you could add in a cute waffle knit sweater, a silky dress, lace, or even some corduroy pants! Whatever feels right to you. With patterns, I recommend nothing too flashy because it can take away from you and your partner in your photos. We don’t want that because these photos should be all about you and your future spouse!

Subtle Styling With Accessories & Props!

Props, puppies, and accessories! If you’re wondering about how you can make your experience personal and memorable, feel free to bring along any props that are special to you. I want your session to be unique to YOU. So, if that means bringing your dogs along or props that tell your story, please do! We can incorporate them into your photos in a fun way! Some ideas could also be a custom dog bandana that says you’re engaged or even a cute engagement sign! Whatever you want in your photos, I’ll do my best to make it happen! When it comes to accessorizing for your spring engagement photos, cute hats, stacking bracelets, a dainty necklace, or even a fresh manicure can really make a difference when it comes to your photos! Plus, we will most likely be getting some up-close ring shots, so treat yourself to a mani!
