Katrina and Avelino had a four hour long adventurous Yosemite Elopement this past summer at Yosemite National Park and they had the best time! They rode bikes, took a dip in the Merced river and even went fishing! I absolutely love elopements that take us on an adventure and this is exactly what this elopement was! During adventurous elopements, I am able to capture the real and authentic interactions between you and your partner and you get to have a fun and exciting experience for such a special day. Katrina & Avelino Adventurous Yosemite Elopement Photos
We started the day at Glacier Point just before sunrise, capturing a few portraits in the early light for those epic pre dawn shots. They had gotten married at the courthouse the day before, so this morning was all about their vows! After our portraits, we hiked to the ceremony spot and arrived just in time for the sun to peek over Half Dome. Right at that breathtaking moment, they exchanged vows.
Fun fact: I always make it my mission to know exactly when the sun will rise at Glacier Point and Tunnel View to catch these magical moments!
Afterward, we explored Glacier Point, stopping at all my favorite spots for more portraits. Check out my blog on all my favorite spots at Glacier Point! Next, we headed to Tunnel View for that iconic shot before diving into the real adventure in Yosemite Valley. There, they danced in meadows, rode bikes past Yosemite Falls, climbed trees at El Cap Meadow, and ended the day with a refreshing dip in the Merced River and went fishing. It was truly a magical day and I loved capturing every minute of it.
