A Fun Chinese Tradition Wedding at Evanelle Vineyards

Wow! Crista and Jimmy had such a fun and beautiful Chinese tradition wedding day at Evanelle Vineyards in Madera, California! Not only were these two so cute and loving towards each other, but I loved how they incorporated so many fun elements into their wedding day. For example, Crista had Jimmy complete a set of games called Chinese Gate Crash Games, which is a Chinese wedding tradition where challenges are created that the groom and sometimes the groomsman have to complete as a ceremonial demonstration of the groom’s love for the bride!

Some of these games included flipping a tv remote because Jimmy loves to do that at home. Another was math facts, making paper airplanes, and the last one was badminton. Of course, Jimmy passed these challenges and was then able to have a sweet first look with his bride-to-be!

After their outdoor wedding ceremony, Crista changed into her qun kwa, which is traditional Chinese attire for the bride. They then had a Chinese Tea Ceremony where they served tea to their family in front of their guests. This is a Chinese wedding tradition and it symbolizes the union of family and the acceptance of one into the family. They even had a Chinese dragon perform from Buchanan Highschool. For their first dance, the DJ started a smoke machine which made it look as though they were dancing on a cloud, and they called it “dancing on the cloud”. They then had a fun bubble exit before riding off into the night!
