A Dreamy Maternity Session During The Winter in Yosemite National Park

Wintertime in Yosemite is absolutely dreamy! Kaycee and Trenton had the most beautiful maternity session in the snowy Yosemite National Park! This was the most snow I’ve ever seen during Winter in Yosemite National Park! It looked like a magical winter wonderland. Kaycee and Trenton both love nature and hiking, so it was only fitting that they had an adventurous maternity session!

How to Prepare For Your Maternity Session in Yosemite

If you’re looking to have any kind of photos taken in Yosemite, it’s absolutely crucial that you dress for the weather! It’s important to consider the time of year and the altitude of where we’ll be exploring for your photoshoot! Make sure to dress in layers. This will also help you to stay warm in between photos, especially if you have several outfit changes! Wearing quality shoes is essential. I recommend insulated boots. This goes for both warmer months and winter in Yosemite National Park! It’s also never a bad idea to bring a hat and gloves just in case! I always recommend checking the Yosemite Weather Forecast prior to your session to get an idea of what the temperatures are like!

You will also need a two-hour session if you plan on having photos in Yosemite. This allows us enough time to go to several locations inside the park and get all of the shots you want with different backdrops! For adventure sessions like these, I allow for unlimited zoom calls so we can get to know each other and for planning! For this session, one must-have location for Kaycee and Trenton was Cathedral Lake, so we got some shots there too! I don’t think winter in Yosemite National Park gets any better than this!
