Adventurous Elopement at Glacier Point & Mariposa Grove of the Sequoias

Ashley and Jacob’s elopement at Yosemite National Park was truly amazing! They had a breathtaking sunrise ceremony at Glacier Point and explored Mariposa Grove of the Sequoias after their ceremony! Ashley loves sequoia trees and wanted to incorporate them into her elopement, so this location was definitely the perfect addition to their day. And, honestly, the photos at Mariposa Grove are some of my favorites!!! Keep Scrolling to see more from Ashely and Jacob’s day.

Ashley & Jacob’s Adventurous Elopement at Glacier Point & Mariposa Grove of the Sequoias

The day started at Glacier Point. I met Jacob dressed, and Ashley stayed behind to get into her dress. I then took Jacob to the first look location, setting him up facing Half Dome and reminding him not to turn around until Ashley tapped him on the shoulder! After helping Ashley get into her dress, I walked her over to meet Jacob for a beautiful first look at the Glacier Point amphitheater. Their first look was so romantic and Ashley’s dress only added to the romantic feeling. She wore a cape that she made herself that I absolutely loved! We met up with Erica, their officiant, and made our way to one of my hidden, secluded ceremony spots at Glacier Point. The ceremony began just before sunrise, the perfect time for an elopement, with Erica delivering a heartfelt ceremony. Ashley and Jacob exchanged their handwritten vows and rings, it was so beautiful!

As soon as the ceremony finished, the sun finally peeked over the horizon, creating a magical backdrop for their portraits at Glacier Point. Once we wrapped up there, we made our way to Mariposa Grove of the Sequoias to capture more portraits and fun photos of them in the trees! Like I had mentioned before, Ashley loves the sequoia trees, so it was a no brainer exploring Mariposa Grove on their elopement day was a must! It also makes for stunning photos! We hopped on the bus and took a walk among the giant trees, capturing candid and fun photos. They were seriously so natural and their love just came out in every single photo.
