Tips For Planning a Winter Engagement Photos at Sequoia National Park

Since Jerome and Samantha’s wedding is in January, these winter engagement photos were perfect! Especially for their save the dates. There are some things you should prep for when shooting a winter engagement session. First of all, plan the right outfits! Make sure you are bundled up and warm while still looking cute. Another tip is to pay attention to the weather. Ideally, you want to shoot right after a fresh snow fall just like these two did. But, make sure you have alternate dates available incase of a storm or icy conditions that would make it unsafe to travel! Choosing the right time of day is also extremely important. The snow reflects the sun, so if you go mid day that could be blinding! My final tip for your winter engagement photos is to just have fun! The more fun and playful you are being, the less you will be thinking about those frigid temps.

Jerome and Samantha’s Love Story

Jerome got the courage to ask out Samantha to the movies after they crossed paths at a local Brewfest. Jerome’s highlight of the night was beer and food; Samantha’s highlight was elote and koozies. Jerome and Samantha’s goal for these winter engagement photos is to be able to look back 20 years down the road and remember the happiness and excitement that they feel now and how they felt when they had their first date. Being out in nature in a quiet spot like Sequoia National Park reflects their relationship. They enjoy peace and observing everything around them!
