Yosemite National Park in the fall is absolutely beautiful. The foliage is hues of orange red and yellow and it makes for an amazing backdrop for photos! Andrea and Raymond’s session was captured here in the fall and it was everything! Here’s why Yosemite is perfect for fall engagement photos!
The Beauty of Fall in Yosemite
Fall literally transforms Yosemite into fall wonderland. The iconic valley becomes alive in color and for Andrea and Raymond Yosemite’s beauty was one main reason they wanted to shoot here! Andrea is originally from California and she wanted to bring a piece of California back with them to North Carolina. And what represents California then Yosemite National Park?! From the moment they stopped into the park I knew it was gonna be amazing. We explored different parts of the park and had a relaxed and romantic session.
Why Choose Fall for Your Yosemite Engagement Photos
The Colors
Yosemite in the fall gets painted in deep reds, golden yellows, and warm oranges. The fall foliage is at its peak, giving you a beautiful backdrop in each photo. These colors create a romantic feel for your engagement photos, making them truly unforgettable!
Cozy Feels
Fall is all about those warm and fuzzy vibes. Think cute sweaters, scarves, and outfits that reflect the season. You can even bring along a cozy blanket to snuggle under for an added touch of intimacy and sweetness in your shots.
Cooler Temps
The cooler temperatures make it comfortable to twirl, cuddle, and laugh without worrying about overheating. It’s perfect weather to be in front of the camera!
Golden Hour
Fall light hits differently. The softer, golden tones during the evening create dreamy, sunlit glows that add depth and warmth to your photos. Golden hour in Yosemite during the fall is truly a photographer’s dream!
Planning Your Fall Engagement Session in Yosemite
If you’re inspired by Andrea and Raymond’s session, here are a few tips to make your fall engagement photos unforgettable:
- Choose the Right Time: Peak fall foliage typically occurs from mid-October to early November. Plan accordingly to capture the vibrant colors.
- Dress Comfortably: Layers work best for Yosemite’s cool mornings and evenings. Earth tones and soft fabrics complement the natural surroundings.
- Embrace the Moment: Allow yourself to soak in the beauty around you. The best photos often come from genuine interactions and unplanned moments!
Words From Andrea and Raymond
10/10 amazing! From the very moment I contacted Alyssa she understood exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be more happy! I’m a California native and wanted to bring a piece of Cali back with us so North Carolina. My husband isn’t the most comfortable in front of a camera but Alyssa made the environment comfortable and fun! Alyssa is amazing hands down!
