The number one reason to choose Yosemite for your engagement photos? The jaw-dropping views! Here are some Locations in Yosemite National Park perfect for your session!

Glacier Point

Glacier Point is one of my favorite spots as a Yosemite photographer! This place is seriously epic for photos, the views and the valley below are the perfect backdrops! I love capturing the sunrise at Glacier Point. It adds a soft light to all your photos and what is more romantic than a sunrise with a golden glow! It is also less crowded during sunrise! That is exactly where we started Samantha and Travis’ engagement session! It was the perfect way to start the session!

Tunnel View

Another favorite, Tunnel View offers that classic Yosemite vista. From mid-April to September, the sunrise light creates a dreamy scene with the sun peeking through the mountains. If you’re planning a session during those months, I highly recommend starting your morning here for a truly unforgettable view.

Swinging Bridge Meadow

For a more playful, candid vibe, Swinging Bridge Meadow is perfect. It’s an open space where you can relax, dance, and enjoy a picnic while Yosemite Falls serves as your backdrop. Samantha and Travis ended their session here, and the light filtering through the meadow made for some of the sweetest, most natural moments.

Yosemite National Park is beautiful all year round! There’s wildflowers and lush greenery in the spring and flowing waterfalls in the summer! During the fall, there’s warm golden hues and during the winter there’s snow capped mountains! So there is literally no bad season for Yosemite National Park! It’s all about choosing the perfect fit for you and your partner! As a Yosemite engagement photographer, I can also recommend the best season for your vision!

The landscapes are soo romantic and create such a good atmosphere but you are also adventurous and explore the park with your partner! Planning a Yosemite engagement session might sound overwhelming, but that’s where I come in! Having explored this park countless times, I know all the secret spots, the best times to shoot, and how to make the most of your time here.

Take Samantha’s session, for example. She wanted soft, low-light photos, so we planned for a fall morning when the sun takes its time rising over the mountains. We started at Glacier Point, where we lingered just past sunrise. Then, we headed to Tunnel View for some moody valley shots before ending at Swinging Bridge Meadow, where the light stayed soft and dreamy. It was an unforgettable morning filled with laughter, connection, and the most beautiful backdrops you can imagine.
