These romantic Point Lobos and Big Sur engagement photos with Arbee and Ariel were a dream! They absolutely killed their engagement session, and their outfits were perfection! I loved Arbee’s beautiful green dress with the slit. Big Sur is such a stunning location. With its beautiful dramatic cliffs, lush forests, and rugged coastline with Pacific Ocean views, Big Sur provides the perfect backdrop for capturing the romance and beauty of an engagement. Plus, the natural lighting and stunning sunsets make for some truly memorable photos. As a Big Sur wedding photographer, I have to say that there aren’t many spots in California that can beat the natural beauty here!
Ariel & Arbee’s Romantic Point Lobos & Big Sur Engagement Photos
This couple first met on the sea while they were in Japan, so having Big Sur engagement photos with ocean views just made sense. Ariel and Arbee really wanted to capture the playfulness of their relationship, and I think they did a great job. Together, they love going to new coffee shops and restaurants, but haven’t been able to do much of that since having their daughter. They hope to get back into it. I think taking the time to get some engagement photos done at Big Sur is the perfect start, and I’m so gad they were able to get away for some time together!

I had trouble picking the location and just had a vague idea on how I want our engagement photos to look like. She suggested Big Sur with full disclosure that it will be her first time doing a shoot there as well. This boss babe went above and beyond to survey the place before we even got there. It did not feel like it was her first time taking photos there at all!!! She made the drive to Big Sur so worth it!
We were actually supposed to do it a couple of months ago but the weather didn’t cooperate. Alyssa was very flexible and was able to reschedule us to a date that works for all parties. She even gave us a mini session at Lake Millerton on the day we were supposed to do the photoshoot at Big Sur because she felt bad about how the road was blocked on the way there.
Alyssa was also very understanding with how we bring our daughter everywhere we go. She is just a sweetheart and you can see how passionate she is with photography! She takes good care of her clients and delivers quality work. I literally felt like I was on my very own movie poster or book cover as soon as I saw the photos. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. So looking forward to the day she captures our wedding day on October!”
