David & Maria’s Romantic Yosemite Proposal | Yosemite Proposal Photographer 

Originally when David hired me as his Yosemite proposal photographer, his plan for proposing to Maria was to pop the question at Taft Point, but Mother Nature had other ideas. A sudden storm closed Glacier Point Road, forcing us to pivot. BUT the result were EVERYTHING! Keep scrolling to see how everything turned out!

The Proposal at Tunnel View

David chose Tunnel View as the perfect backup location after the storm disrupted our plans. With its sweeping vistas of El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome, it offered the beauty and romance he had hoped for! We timed the session during a break in the storm, creating a dramatic backdrop of moody skies and misty peaks. To keep the surprise intact, I posed as a tourist capturing landscapes at one of my favorite secret spots. David and Maria approached, asking for a quick photo with their phone. After snapping the shot, David dropped to one knee, asking Maria to marry him. Her surprise and joy were palpable, making the moment absolutely perfect!

After the proposal, we wandered through Yosemite Valley, taking advantage of its iconic scenery! David’s thoughtfulness didn’t end with the proposal. He had planned a second surprise for Maria! He hired a a private chef for dinner at their cozy Airbnb in Yosemite West. As they continued exploring the park, I headed to the Airbnb to document the beautiful setup. The space was decorated with candlelight, florals by Sweet Dreams Weddings, and an intimate table setting set by Joyful Chef.

When Maria walked in and saw the setup, her reaction was priceless!
