A Fairytale Sequoia Elopement | Sequoia Elopement Photographer

If you’re thinking about eloping in the forest, this Sequoia National Park elopement is the perfect inspo. As a Sequoia elopement photographer, I’m always blown away by how unreal this park looks in person! Massive redwoods, golden light, and that quiet kind of peace you just can’t get anywhere else.

Amanda & Dennis’ Fairytale Elopement

These two planned the most laid-back, intentional day in Sequoia National Park. They started with a first look at Beetle Rock, one of my favorite overlooks. It’s simple, open, and has killer views for portraits. Dennis’ reaction when he saw Amanda? So sweet!

Before their ceremony, they kept up their tradition of coffee on a rock (yep, literally). Just them, their mugs, and the forest. Nothing fancy, just a small moment that felt super personal.

They met their officiant, at the Parker Group, where they said their vows surrounded by the tallest trees you’ve ever seen. Their ceremony was short, sweet, and so them. Afterward, we hiked through the Congress Trail, took some time to breathe, explore, and grab those adventure-style shots that make Sequoia elopements feel so epic!

How to Make Your Sequoia Elopement Feel Special

Amanda and Dennis’ day was a good reminder that elopements don’t need to be complicated. Bring things that actually matter to you! A favorite snack, your dog, a playlist you both love, or even a morning coffee tradition like they did. The point of eloping is to make it personal, not Pinterest-perfect.

If hiking feels like your thing, plan a trail that gives you time to explore and breathe between moments. If you’re not big on hiking, have a picnic under the trees or pop a bottle of champagne on Beetle Rock instead. You can include your families for a short ceremony and still sneak away later for some quiet portraits together!

Don’t be afraid to mix meaningful and fun! Pack your favorite food, write private vows, or trade gifts before your ceremony. Your elopement day doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s; it just has to feel like you!
