Kathie and Maveric’s engagement session happened the day after a fresh snowstorm rolled through Yosemite Valley in the winter, and it was absolutely perfect! The park was quiet, the snow was untouched, and the views were unreal. We explored Tunnel View and Yosemite Valley, chasing fog, light, and laughter the entire time.
A Candid Winter Love Story in Yosemite Valley
Starting at Tunnel View
We kicked off the session at Tunnel View, and the conditions were incredible! Fog filled the valley, and clouds drifted over the cliffs. It created a dramatic, moody atmosphere that made every photo pop. El Capitan and Bridalveil Falls were peeking through the mist, and it felt like Yosemite Valley was showing off just for Kathie and Maveric. The fresh snowfall made everything look even more magical, setting the perfect tone for their engagement session.
Biking Through Yosemite Valley in the Winter
From there, we headed down into Yosemite Valley, where the snow covered everything in the most peaceful way. And here’s where things got even better: they rode on the same bike with Kathie sitting on the front handlebars while Maveric pedaled. It was playful, fun, and totally them. They were laughing the whole time, and I couldn’t stop snapping away. It felt spontaneous and real, just the way engagement sessions should be. The snow-covered valley paths created the perfect backdrop for their fun moment.
Exploring Yosemite Valley in the Winter
We wandered through all my go-to Yosemite Valley locations, and everything was coated in a fresh layer of snow. No crowds, no distractions, just the two of them being completely present and soaking it all in. They ran through the meadows, danced in the snow, and made the most of every moment. Yosemite Valley in winter was the perfect setting for their adventurous, candid session. The landscape gave us endless opportunities to capture intimate, joyful moments.
