A Dreamy Engagement Session at Taft Point in Yosemite

Nina and Brian’s engagement session at Taft Point in Yosemite National Park was an absolute DREAM! These two are such a beautiful couple, and their engagement session was so romantic, dreamy, and they were just glowing. Taft Point is a beautiful location, and it’s even more stunning during sunset! There is no place like Yosemite, and I just love sessions here, especially engagements and weddings because of just how romantic the atmosphere is!

Why Choose Taft Point in Yosemite For Your Session?

Like I said, the views it offers of Yosemite Valley are STUNNING! Taft Point is located in the Southern rim of Yosemite and only open from May-October, and in my opinion the best time to visit is during sunset! The hike to Taft Point is a 2.2 mile round trip, but it is so worth it! The hike starts in the woods and I love getting some shots in the cute spots along the way. We’ll follow a dirt path across Sentinel Creek. Eventually the trail will lead us to a sign and we will follow straight to Taft Point.

Of course, there are dangers when hiking to the area. It can get muddy, and you will come across fissures that plummet as far as up to 2,000 feet deep. When it comes to sessions in Yosemite, you can either do a 90 minute session with just Taft Point in Yosemite, or your can do a 3 hour session with Taft Point plus the valley or Glacier Point! If it’s your first time, I recommend a 3 hour session so you can see all the beauty that Yosemite National Park has to offer! You can see my Yosemite packages here!
